Absolutely beautiful!! And your method for joining is great. Thanks so much for sharing. What kind of yarn (fiber and weight) did you use for the spread?
Oh my! Breathtaking afghan! Are you still sane after completing it or do you have crazy yo-yo dreams? I really like your blog. It is very inspirational...has actually got me swatching for this yo-yo!
Hi Chris, thank you so much for the pattern. the yoyo's are ace. A few weeks ago I was wondering what I could make from Yoyos as I think they look cool. The afghan is super fly! I am making a bag using your pattern, I have put a link to your pattern in my blog. I hope you dont mind. Peace and Light to you and yours Sarah x
hi!! great blog!! i'm going to start my own yoyo blanket so i can use all my scraps! i know it's a long project, i hope i can finish it by the end of this year! i invite you to visit my blog and see the progress i'll link you! nice to meet you flor www.cosasquehagoyo.blogspot.com
I love it! Can you tell me if you used fingering yarn in there as well? I have a ton of that in scrap and would love to include it, but I'm not sure if the size would match the WW yarns.
Laura, I used mostly Red Heart Supersaver, but there was likely some of the Simply Soft or other slightly lighter weight in there as well. But there's no sport or fingering weight in mine. The joining method is pretty forgiving of slight differences in the size of the yoyos. Give it a try and see what you think of the different weights together. I think as long as you spread out the odd ones pretty well, it should be okay.
i very enjoy all your posting taste, very interesting. don't quit and keep posting considering it simply well worth to look through it. looking forward to browse through much of your own writing, have a great day ;)
I had to move the blog in a hurry this week, as Posterous was not working, and is going to shut down soon anyway. There are lots of broken links at the moment, but the patterns are all still here. Click on the blog header, and you should see everything. Then you can scroll to the pattern you need to find.
Also, a new option is available - a Facebook page. Come and "like" me over at Yarncrazy on Facebook.

The ultimate in scrap afghans! I would be concerned that the chain parts might become weak and break apart, but it sure is colorful!

This is stunning, I am going to attempt this using all the odd bits of wool that are taking up space in the back of my cupboard.
How I get the pattern?
This is so beautiful. I have a basket of scraps, now I know what I will be doing with them....thank you!
